The exclusive privacy of this 5,732+/- acre Ranch and the very large ranches to the south-west and west are home to much game! Everywhere there is evidence of game.
The habitat is attractive and conducive to many species. Sport hunting is excellent---but just watching the game at dusk or in the early morning hours is breath-taking too!
This huge rack was found 12/16/06 on the Ranch with some of the past season's velvet still intact. Perhaps lion kill.
Wild Hogs are abundant, trophy Deer, Dove and Quail abound. Majestic Tule Elk migrate through the Ranch (a present herd of 20+).
Protected by law, they are magnificent to watch! This statuesque Tule Elk bull stands guard over his cows!
The Ranch has access to 250+/- acres of BLM (Bureau of Land Management) on its western border. If game and wildlife are important to the buyer, over the summit of the Diablo Mountains to the west, the Ranch borders the Quien Sabe Ranch, over 100,000 acres of protected ranchland and the French Ranch, both known for large game herds and private, limited harvest.
"Oh, give me a home where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play!" The song must have been written about Bell's Cabin, an idyllic old hunting cabin way in the back country.
Appropriately it is located right next to a year-round spring that literally gushes out of the ground and is beautifully shaded by giant oaks and sycamores!
The owners have established their Headquarters next to year-round Pancho Creek and not far from the Entry Gate. It includes an expandable modern large mobile home with pop-outs (including Master Bedroom) and hot/cold water for showers, water system, storage tank, containers for storing the ranch jeep and ATV's and assorted other "toys." There is a rock-lined firepit, bar-b-que and picnic tables for nightime entertaining! a range of targets, gas and diesel supply, generator and D6 Cat for the road upkeep. There are no public utilities to the Ranch and neighbors have effective and great success with solar. The Headquarters is set up for the Buyer to be up and functioning for overnight stays on day one!
