Pancho Creek, a smaller, spring-fed creek, also runs year round. Springs and green patches of grass in the middle of summer are testament to abundant water and some of the springs bubble right out of the ground!
Large, natural and improved Fish Pond offers great recreational opportunities, as well as support to cattle and game.
The areas along the two creeks have stands of California Sycamores and evergreen trees and waving grasslands in the afternoon breezes. Many varieties of oak are native here. The tree cover increases with elevation, as does the occurrence of springs.
The hills and mountains to the southwest are thickly wooded with oak, bay laurel near the springs, and brushy---all providing great habitat for animals.
